What is Lucid Dreaming? Lucid dreaming (sometimes called astral projection although they’re not quite the same) is the ability to become SELF AWARE in your dreams, meaning you can control them and experience whatever you want. You can live out your fantasies and be, do, see or feel ANYTHING.

There are also many benefits to lucid dreaming, such as improved sleep, more energy, more confidence, and more restorative sleep. Not to mention the fact you can become more CONSCIOUS, and experience the impossible!

I’m Stef, the guy behind HowToLucid, and I’m dedicated to helping you learn how to lucid dream. I’ve been lucid dreaming for over 8 years now and I have a passion for dreams, personal development and travel. Follow my journey, and please leave a comment now, if you’ve read all of this, letting me know your best lucid dream experience!

  1. I think I had a lucid dream last night, to start with, I had a wet dream and I jizzed myself, woke up, and used the bathroom, and was up for a good few minutes, then went back to bed, and my dreams were more vivid than usual, for some reason I was playing Red Dead Redemption 2, but I was in a location not in the game, and the snow looked more realistic, I had a rifle out and was hunting for deer, and because dream logic, it wasn't a game anymore, I was laying quietly cause there were deer very close to me, I stood up, some deer ran in fear, and some tried to attack me, and I was dodging them, than cause of dream logic, it was a different dream, this one I don't remember so well, but someone else was with me, and my sister was too, but when I think I had a lucid dream, I was a bit excited at first, I did the palm touching thing, and my fingers kinda were snapping on to my palms, and if I remember correctly, kinda went through my hand, I tried flying at one point and it worked, but I couldn't really fly in any direction I choose, and I hit pine tree branches a couple times, I also went to an Xbox 360 I have, and wanted to play a game for Xbox one, I closed my eyes wanting it to turn to an Xbox one and it worked, but had the menus of a PS3 for some reason, I also read the ingredients on something, and there was I think a C, and tons of Os, at one point there was an air raid siren, and I went outside, flew to the end of my driveway, and there were two huge towers with lights blinking on them where the siren was coming from, there was lightning everywhere in the sky, some lighning strikes hit the ground and the stikes were huge. Do you think this was a lucid dream, or possibly a normal dream, that was more vivid, I'm unsure, I know I got excited a few times, once to the thoughts of some of the stuff I could do, but the dream also wasn't as vivid as I'd think it'd be from memory, I know it was vivid, but not as vivid and detailed as real life, and I feel like if I were fully lucid, that I'd have more awareness I guess you could say, I could be wrong, and it might just be because of memory. I forgot to add that at one point, I was wobbling and I had a pain in my head for a second.

  2. Thanks for your videos, after what feels like years of occasionally trying to become lucid, this week every night I tried the WILD technique which I found wasn’t working, tried the the walk back to bed technique and it worked! It only lasted about 10 seconds but now I’ve done it once I know I can again 😁

I did definitely find when I just woke up and had the idea in my head but just relaxed it was a lot better than lying there trying to bring on sleep paralysis and ‘create’ a dream scene

  3. Is it possible to entirely create a complex character that you can spawn in every lucid dream and bring along by asking your subconscious for "a friend"? Would it be able to be a recurring complex character, or would the experience be more like a stupid NPC? Just a thought that I had earlier today, and thought that it would make an interesting experiment.

  4. One year ago, October 23rd 2018, I had probably the most exciting night in my life to this day. And no, I didn't have sex with anyone, but what I did have, was my first ever lucid dream. Here's the story:
So I've been trying to lucid dream for a while, but didn't have much succes until then. I've been reading a lot of articles and I have also been watching a lot of tutorials from Howtolucid and Tipharot
So I went to bed like normally, I can't remember what method I tried, atleast one I didnt have to wake up for. But here's where I started te remember stuff: I was in a normal dream, I don't remember what it was about. Something triggered me to become lucid. It was like I got sucked into a brand new dream at that moment.
Now I was fully lucid. I was in a city, not much people. I flew up in the air till I was about as high as the skyscrapers and then I let myself fall. When I hit the ground, I was completely fine, zero scratches, nothing. I continioud. I walked up to a person and popped his head off. Don't ask me why the hell I choose to do that out of all the infinite posibilities, I just did it so… Yeah. I wanted to change the scene of the dream, but suddenly a search bar popped up right in front of my face. I couldn't do anything with it tho, cause I literally was waking up.
When I was fully awake again, I barely got any more sleep that night cause I couldn't stop thinking about what I just experienced. It was worth it tho.
Now, I've had a total of 8 lucid dreams. One of them actually being last night. That's pretty ironic, since, first, it's on the first anniversary of my first LD, and second, it's actually my first one in about 4 and a half months. Just getting back into it after a bit of a break.
Anyways, just wanted to share this 🙂

  5. Ok so I need to know if this was a lucid dream or not

So this was a series Dream to begin with, but anyways,I was waking into a Walmart with a chick-fil-a bag of three sandwiches, and there were these people who were pushing three carts at the same time, so I did the same, anyways, so I go up to one of the cashiers and ask “so is this a Dream?” They said yes, so I was like “so I’m dreaming right now?” And once again they said yes, then I said “so I can do anything in here right?” And they said yes again, now I was starting to get a weird feeling in my stomach, then for some reason I was like “I’ll make a fourth sandwich appear” and it did, I hit into and it tasted just like chick-fil-a, but I was full already, and then I woke up,

So yeah I would just want to know if this was actually a lucid dream or not
