  1. Depending upon your starting point, eating clean can actually be a big money saver.  Packaged foods and eating out are extremely expensive!! Discontinuing the purchasing for processed snacks and big meals in restaurants will be a big bonus to the budget.  Drinking water from your tap is less expensive than sodas, juices, and fancy coffee drinks.  Eating clean means getting back to the basics.  It can include ready-to-drink smoothies and supplements, but it doesn't have to.  I have a husband and five children on a very tight budget, and we are able to eat very healthfully.  A big tub of rolled oats is WAY cheaper than junkie kids' cereals.  It is also healthier and includes less packaging.  Some things will be more money–like organic, grass-fed beef, for example, but in my family, we have chosen to limit meat to only a few meals per week to off-set that cost.  I actually have dropped to only having meat on very rare occasions–heading toward a mostly plant-based diet.  Like you said, it's about prioritizing!  Thanks for opening this important conversation.

  2. Good morning Mae, I love this video, I'm in progress of changing my eating habits as well, you are a great inspiration. I live in LA as well, what is the name and location of the International Market you shopped.
